What you get
Shape
Round, teardrop or diamond: where the sweet spot sits and how forgiving the face is.
Weight range
A 15 g window that balances easy to swing against stable on contact.
Balance
Low, medium or high, in millimetres from the butt, which sets how head-heavy it feels.
Core softness
Soft, medium or hard: how much shock the racket absorbs and how it responds at speed.
Shape, weight, balance and core, with the reason for each.

How the finder decides
Your level, play style and court side set the starting point. A player who is starting out gets a more forgiving round face and a lighter, lower-balance racket. A confident attacker gets more weight, head balance and a firmer core.
Arm comfort only ever pulls the answer gentler. If your arm is sore, the finder drops the weight window, balance and core hardness whatever else you pick.
Budget never changes the shape, weight, balance or core. It changes the advice on face material and where the money is best spent.

Rules of thumb, not rules
Racket fit is personal. Treat the result as a shortlist filter, then hit with a few if you can.
Racket finder questions
- What does the racket finder recommend?
- Characteristics, not products: a shape, a weight window, a balance and a core softness. Use them as filters on any racket listing or when you try rackets at a club.
- How does it use my answers?
- Level, play style and court side set the starting point. Arm comfort can only pull the result gentler, never harder. Budget does not change the shape, weight, balance or core. It changes the advice on face material and where to spend.
- What if my arm or elbow is sore?
- The finder moves to a round face, a lighter window, low balance and a soft core, because these pass the least shock to the arm. If it hurts when you hit, rest it and ask a physio or doctor.
- Why a weight range instead of one number?
- Listed weights vary by a few grams between units, and the right feel depends on your swing. A 15 g window is wide enough to shop with and narrow enough to matter.
- Does the court side change the result?
- Slightly. Left-side players meet more overheads and finishing shots, so the result leans a little toward power. Right-side players build the point, so it leans toward control.
- Can I save or share my result?
- Yes. Download the result card as an image, copy the share link, or print the profile as a one-page sheet. The quiz runs in your browser.
